Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how LUMNOK collects, uses, and protects your information. The person responsible for your data (the controller) is İsa İsayev (Baku, Azerbaijan).
1. Information we collect
Account data: your name, email address, and an encrypted (bcrypt-hashed) form of your password. User content: the essays, notes, quizzes, flashcards, chats, and workspaces you create on the platform. We do not store your plaintext password and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, manage your account, store your content, improve the Service, and ensure security. We do not sell or share your content for advertising purposes without your consent.
3. AI processing
When you use AI features, the text and content you enter are sent to our infrastructure provider Groq, Inc. (USA) to generate a response. This processing happens only to fulfil your request. Groq does not use your inputs or the generated outputs to train models, and does not retain requests by default; temporary logs may be kept for up to 30 days solely to investigate technical faults and prevent abuse. Even so, we recommend not entering sensitive or confidential information.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Your card details are handled directly by Paddle — LUMNOK does not see or store your payment card information. Paddle receives the information needed to process your subscription (for example, your email address).
5. Cookies
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (zeka_session, httpOnly) and a cookie that remembers your language choice (zeka_lang). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data — including essays, notes, quizzes, flashcards, chats, and workspaces — is permanently removed from the database (cascade deletion). Team invites work via shareable links; anyone with a link may join the corresponding workspace.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your name and password from account settings, and delete your account in full at any time. For further requests about your data, you can contact us.
